Adoption Fees & Process

Adoption is at the core of what we do – to match a family to an animal that needs their love and attention. The Medina County SPCA always has animals available for adoption at the shelter. We also have cats available at PetSmart in Medina and Wooster and at Pet Supplies Plus in Medina.

Benefits of adopting from the MCSPCA:
(some exceptions may apply)

  • Spay or neuter surgery

  • Microchipping

  • Deworming

  • Age-appropriate vaccines

    • Dogs: Distemper, Hepatitis, Bordetella, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus

    • Cats: Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calici (for kittens)

  • Rabies vaccines (for animals 4 months & older)

  • Flea & tick prevention

  • Medical evaluation

  • Behavior evaluation

  • MCSPCA will always take the animal back into our care if you are no longer able to care for it.

Adoption Fees
Puppies (under a year old): $275 and up
