Become a Volunteer Today!

The Medina County SPCA is always looking for volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and furthering our mission. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of the animals at our facility. Volunteers make up 80% of our workforce. If you are at least 16 years old, please consider volunteering. We need everything from cage cleaners and animal walkers to office support and vet technicians. All NEW volunteers must complete an online application and attend training.

Our training schedule can be accessed via our EVENTS CALENDAR

Once your application is approved and training completed, you can schedule to volunteer online.

MCSPCA Events

Throughout the year, we coordinate a variety of fundraisers  and events to promote awareness and generate much needed revenue for the organization. You can help by attending these events, volunteering your time, or making a donation. The best part is that everyone has some fun while supporting a great cause.

Become a Pet Foster & Adopt

All you need is space and love! Pet foster parents provide temporary housing and care for an animal who is sheltered at our facility. They open their homes and provide a caring, safe place where animals can receive more individualized attention. Sometimes they are recovering from illness, on hold due to a court case, need to be socialized, or simply aren’t old enough to be placed in a forever home.

  • Experience the joy of having a pet without having to make a lifetime commitment.

  • Save the life of the animal being fostered, and free up space at the shelter for another animal in need.

  • We pay for foster animal veterinary care at our contracted vets and can provide food and litter, if necessary.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please download and complete the Foster Application (Please note it may take 1-2 weeks for applications to be processed).
