Foster Care Program

At the Medina County SPCA, we go above and beyond for every animal – especially when they aren’t quite ready for adoption. Pet foster parents provide temporary housing and care for an animal who is sheltered at our facility. They open their homes and provide a caring, safe place where animals can receive more individualized attention. Sometimes they are recovering from illness, on hold due to a court case, need to be socialized, or simply aren’t old enough to be placed in a forever home.

  • Experience the joy of having a pet without having to make a lifetime commitment.

  • Save the life of the animal being fostered, and free up space at the shelter for another animal in need.

  • We pay for foster animal veterinary care at our contracted vets and can provide food and litter, if necessary.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please download and complete the Foster Application and email to info@medinacountyspca.com or fax to 330-441-4624 (Please note it may take 1-2 weeks for applications to be processed).
